18 Equity's property business focuses on upmarket residential development and commercial property investment. As with our corporate finance and investment activity, the focus is on value enhancement – this is generally unique to each project, but can include:
- Partnering with land owners to rezone and develop; thus allowing the land owner to participate across the value chain
- Enhancing the value of commercial property through innovative lease extension/renewal mechanisms
- Selling a component of the bare dominium (i.e. the building post the lease period) in order to release capital upfront or fund the acquisition
